We’ll be helping you with this article. This article is about how to install a touch kitchen faucet. We will show you the steps you need to take and the gears you need to perform the installation.

So, let’s get started.

How to Install a Touch Kitchen Faucet

Necessary tools:

  • The best touch on kitchen faucet
  • Safety glasses
  • Silicone sealant
  • Water bucket
  • Flashlight
  • Screwdriver
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Drill, etc.

Step 1:

If you have an old faucet installed, remove it gently first. Then turn off the water supply lines both hot water and cold water. This is very important. You can’t install the faucet without turning off the water supply lines.

So, before you start, shut down the water supply and disconnect the water supply lines.

Step 2:

Check the box of your new faucet. Make sure there isn’t any component missing. This will be a top mount installation process. For under-mount installation, check the owner’s manual or contact the manufacturer.

Step 3:

Now, you need to assemble the spout. Attach the gasket simply to the spout shank. You need to insert the shank into the sinkhole then. You need to secure it too with a mounting nut or an insulating disk.

Now, you have to make sure that the Light is facing toward the sink and at the bottom. This light is connected to the solenoid and it indicates that your touch kitchen faucet is all good.

After that, tighten the spout which is attached to the sink.

Step 4:

After that, you need to set up the valve assembly. The valve assembly includes the three tubes (valve outlet, cold water, and hot water line) and the handle. Set it up gently.

If you feel the mounting surface is a little rough, you need to add a silicone sealant under the gasket.

Step 5:

Insert the ferrule into the hot water supply and screw on the check valve to hand tight. Now, tighten it with the adjustable wrench. One full turn is pretty enough. Make sure you don’t over tighten the check valve.

Insert the ferrule into the cold water supply too and go through the same process.

Step 6:

You have to make sure that your supply and fittings are free of debris. Then, loop the supply lines if the room allows. It’ll prevent you from cutting them up.

Attach the blue cold water line to the cold water check valve and hand tighten it first. After that, you need two adjustable wrenches. Hold the check valve with one wrench and tighten the supply line. In this case, one full turn is perfect too!

Repeat this process for the hot water supply line too!

Step 7:

Take the bucket below the outlet tube connection and flush out the lines. Now, turn the water supply off and clean the outlet tube carefully.

Now, you need to connect the solenoid assembly to the outlet tube. Push the top connection to the outlet tube and keep pushing until it stops going up. After that, attach a holding clip to the backside of this connection joint.

Step 8:

Slide the steel weight over the faucet handle hose and connect the hose to the bottom outlet of the solenoid which is connected with the outlet tube.

Now, attach a holding clip to this connection joint to keep the connection safe and secure all the time.

Step 9:

Now, you need to connect the wire with the c clip that comes from the solenoid. You need to connect the c clip at the bottom of the faucet shank. While doing this, make sure the wire points away from the solenoid.

After that, connect the LED wire to the other side of the solenoid and make sure the two wires don’t touch each other or twists.

Step 10:

Setting up the battery box is your task now. Insert the batteries into the battery box and connect the top wire to the solenoid. The manufacturers recommend keeping the battery on the floor. But you can set it up at the base too!

You need a drill to perform this action and set where ever you want to set your battery box up

Step 11:

After you set your battery box up, your faucet is now powered. Check it by touching it in multiple areas. The LED must pop up.

After that, check all the wires and lines carefully once again. Make sure there is not any leak in the lines. Check the screws one more time and tighten those if required.

If you feel everything under the sink seems okay and good. You can turn the water supply lines on and your faucet is now ready to go.

Simply touch any of the areas to turn the water flow on. Two or three touches are required to turn the water off again. These faucets also have a time limit. If you forget to turn the water off, they’ll turn themselves off after a certain time.
